Here is the roundup of our news from April. It’s been a very busy month, we hope you are getting as excited as us at seeing things start to come together.

Latest Website Updates

Posted April 29th, 2010 by Admin

There are a few updates to look for on the website this week. The Fundraising page has now been updated with details on how to create your own Just Giving page linked to Inspired Living. There is also a sponsorship form that can be printed out if you prefer to collect money in person.

The members only area now has updated nutrition information, including links to the extra information recommended at the nutrition session. If you are a regular participant please follow the instructions on the Cycle Project page to request an ID.

Don’t forget our next Cardio session is being held on the 9th May, however, the next Nutrition session is on the 23rd May.

WANTED – Raffle prizes / auction items

Posted April 24th, 2010 by Admin

We are holding a Gala Dinner on 19th June and are looking for any items that we could raffle or auction off on the night.

For the raffle we are looking for quality items (please no tins of baked beans!). If you have anything suitable that you are willing to donate please let us know.

For the auction, we would love some really special ‘money can’t buy’ lots – if you have any useful contacts that may be able to provide something a bit special that would be fantastic.

Please contact Barbara (barbara@inspiredliving.org.uk) if you can help.

Isle Of Wight Randonnee 2nd May 2010

Posted April 15th, 2010 by AndyBrown

The 2010 IoW Randonnee will take place on Sunday 2nd May.  The ride will be in a clockwise direction and there will be a choice of 100km and 55km rides.  Event starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm. There is no entry fee, but online registration in advance is encouraged.

Though this would not be an organised Inspired Living ride it would be a great opportunity for a longer ride and to see some different scenery.  A round trip from Chandlers Ford would be about 80 miles for the long route round the island, or about 50 miles for the island short route.

Some of the Continental riders have expressed interest in using this as a training ride.  If anyone is interested in joining us please contact Andy Brown

There are now gps files and maps of the planned routes available from the events page.

Anne is cycling to St Malo

Posted April 11th, 2010 by Admin

One of our Supporters, Anne, is doing her own cycle ride in a few weeks time as she is unable to join us in September. As she is a great friend of Tim Frank, all the money she raises will be going to CRUK as part of the Inspired Living efforts – please read her story on her fundraising page and support her if you can.
