Don’t miss out on a fantastic day out on the 4th September – get yourself and your family and friends signed up to do Cycle4Life.

This is a chance to enjoy a cycle ride through the lovely Hampshire countryside, cycling from Winchester to Southsea Common in Portsmouth. While this ride is suitable for all the family, it can still be a challenge, so get yourself sponsored and raise money for Cancer Research.

bulthaup Kitchens Event

Posted July 27th, 2010 by Admin

Back on the 30th June bulthaup Kitchens in Winchester hosted a fantastic evening at their showroom in Winchester. BBC TV and Michelin Starred Chef Alan Murchison cooked up a storm alongside Barbara Parry, Senior Research Dietitian in the Winchester and Andover Breast Unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. Barbara has been providing consultative research and nutrition advice to Inspired Living since the early days of the charity. Alan & Barbara provided inspiration on how small changes everyone can make to their diet can make a huge difference to your health.

By the end of the night we had raised over £1000 for Inspired Living, with the raffle, auction and generous donations. A great thank you to everyone involved!

Scouts cycle for Inspired Living

Posted July 14th, 2010 by Admin

The Hiltingbury Scouts Inspired Living ride was a huge success. 22 children aged between 10 and 14 covered the 60 mile route and also managed a couple of hours swimming as well.

Friday they covered 10 miles to Southampton and then on to a Scout hall in Cowes. Then Saturday 20 miles to Yarmouth and on to Lymington followed by a couple of hours in the Lido (this is really recommended after a days riding in the sun). Finally Sunday 30 miles back from Lymington to Chandlers Ford.

Knorr-Bremse Summer BBQ

Posted July 14th, 2010 by Admin

On the 9th July a few members of the Inspired Living team joined Knorr-Bremse for their Summer BBQ, passing on some useful information around healthy eating and exercise. Overall spreading our message that small changes can make a big difference!

Hopefully we will see a few of the Knorr-Bremse employees at our Cycle4Life ride in September.

Gala Dinner Report

Posted July 14th, 2010 by Admin

The Gala Dinner was a great evening, with over 80 people attending. The welcome drinks with edible flowers were a good start, followed by a lovely 3 course dinner. Then we had the raffle and auction before the music started in earnest and we danced the night away. We raised over £1600 in total, and had a chance to meet some of our Continental cyclists who will be cycling all the way to Gibraltar in September.

The photos can be seen from our FaceBook page. If you have any extra pics please upload them so we can all see them :)
