3 consecutive days of riding – a chance to test your legs!

Some dates for your diaries! We’ve now set the 3 consecutive day rides to start on Friday 8th July with Andy, Guy R and Mike doing the planning and leading. The first ride will start on the Friday at 4.30pm from Hursley and head north. The Saturday and Sunday rides will head south and east and could even include one Butser! Please pencil these dates in your diaries. More details and routes to follow.

Training ride on Sunday 5 June (instead of 29 May)

Starting at 8.30 am, we have two lovely routes of 48 miles and 73 miles heading east from Hursley into the South Downs. Shortcuts are available! Both routes leave via Otterbourne and Bishops Waltham to the Beech Cafe at the Sustainability Centre (no bacon butties but the hummus is good!!! – sorry). The shorter route then returns via East and West Meon and Owslebury. The longer route heads through Clanfield, South Harting and up Harting Hill before coffee in Compton, and then returning via Horndean and Denmead. If you plan to do the longer ride please bring plenty of fuel since it’s over 40 miles to the Compton coffee stop. This is all followed by the BBQ at Lyn & Jamie’s from 4pm, awesome! Looking forward to seeing you. Mike.

Continental page update

New route maps and profiles are now on the Continental Ride page of the website. A GPX track of the full route will be available in due course. The Rider’s Pack will also be uploaded once a few details have been ironed out.

In the meantime, please respond to the email sent out on Friday 13 May especially with regard to the BBQ and shirt size. For the latter, if you were on the Monte Carlo ride and haven’t grown (!), the sizes of the shirts should be the same. If you didn’t get the email please let Barbara know.
