Blog – Day 2 – Cremona to Modena
Today saw us race to Modena, which was only 110 kms away, in the morning averaging 17.5 mph in our desire to get to the Hotel to be picked up for a boys day of fun touring the Ferrari factory and the going onto the Ferrari Museum. James was in seventh heaven !
The ride to Modena was really a relentless cycle in temperatures touching 40 degrees and as with the first day Tom and I rotated between driving and acting as domestiques for James.
The Ferrari plant was really something special and the supply logistics was frightening. Tomorrow we will meet the other members of the team at Bologna Airport but as we have a Jacuzzi in the enormous bathroom in our 4 star Hotel there is a question as to whether we will be able to extract James ! We will have to start slumming when we meet the rest of the team.
I have attached a few pictures, in particular James and Tom with the car that Michael Schumacher won the 2000 World F1 Championships.
We also discover that our host had suffered from Cancer and was in remission. It was a poingant moment.
Tomorrow we will be with the full team and there is likely to be a pandora’s box of incidents.
