Cycle 4 Life

Cycle 4 Life with Inspired Living takes place on September 4th 2010. This mass ride for up to 1,000 people is being organised to see The Continental riders off to a good start.

  • Online registration has now closed, but do come along tomorrow morning to register on the day

To Register for Cycle4Life on the day

  • Come and join us at the start location – St Swithuns School, Winchester – between 9am & 11am
  • Come along with your bike ready to go
  • Cash or cheque payments only (no card payments can be accepted)
  • Have a great time cycling down to Portsmouth
  • We’ll meet you in Victoria Park!

This is a family event designed to encourage anyone who does not see themselves as a hard core cyclist to take a gentle trip though some of Hampshire’s beautiful scenery. Hopefully you will discover that cycling is a great way to get into the countryside which lies on our doorsteps and will have a great time exercising. It certainly beats pushing pedals in a gym!

Car Parking

St Swithun’s

There will be free parking on the school site. You will be marshalled to an allocated area to park your car. In the rider pack to be collected at registration you will be provided with a parking card showing your rider number. This needs to be placed inside the front windscreen and will be both a pass and a means by which the organisers can identify the car.

Please note that cars should be removed by 6pm.

Victoria Park

The finish line will be on Victoria Park, Anglesea Road, just north of Southsea Common and to the east of Gunwharf Quays. There are a number of municipal car parks in the area, the nearest being in Stanhope Road on the eastern edge of the park.

Return transport to Winchester

This coach service will be limited, and will cost £10 a head. Booking is only via the online entry system. Timings will be dependent on demand.

Alternatively you may wish to look at the possibility of returning by train. Portsmouth & Southsea station is about 100metres from Victoria Park. Further details copied from the Cycling by Train website are below.
